Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Community Manager to lead the dbt Slack community and drive global engagement. You will partner with internal teams to cultivate a welcoming, high-signal space where data practitioners connect, learn, and collaborate.

You will shape channel strategy, governance, and programs, develop scalable moderation workflows, recruit moderators, and surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support. Remote, cross‑functional impact across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management in a global environment.
• Experience running day-to-day operations for large online communities.
• Ability to build scalable moderation and support workflows with Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Excellent written communication, empathy, and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community for a global audience.
• Partner with leaders to evolve channel strategy, guidelines, and engagement programs.
• Develop scalable moderation workflows, escalation paths, and response playbooks.
• Coach moderators; recruit and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated.
• Surface insights to Product, Marketing, and Support; close loop with outcomes.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them.
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan incident response with Legal/People/Security as needed.
• Support cross-channel engagement to create a cohesive member journey.
