Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support the day-to-day accounting functions for U.S. Government & Infrastructure clients. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS.

Strong Costpoint experience and government contracting background are required. You will partner with finance teams, promote continuous improvement, and leverage tools to enhance efficiency in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience with government contracting and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes in accordance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations; support period-end close.
• Assist with audits and provide documentation requested by auditors.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Support testing and implementation of Costpoint enhancements and process improvements.
