Job summary

EY's Government & Infrastructure practice in the United States seeks a General Ledger/Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and Costpoint activities in a dynamic, multi-location environment. You will prepare entries, perform reconciliations and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with government contracting and cost accounting.
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes.
• Proficiency in Excel with pivot tables, complex formulas and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and ensure alignment with design documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support month-, quarter- and year-end close activities within deadlines.
• Assist with Costpoint enhancements, testing and process improvements.
