Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP, and expense functions for the US Government & Infrastructure practice. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with period-end close to ensure timely financial reporting.

You will collaborate with finance teams, promote compliance, and support internal and external audits. The role requires 4–6 years of gov contracting accounting experience and proficiency with Costpoint and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, with government contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced functions and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and ensure GAAP/compliance.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports per policy and FAR/DFARS/CAS.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end close.
• Support internal/external audits with requested schedules and documentation.
• Monitor robust reconciliations between subledgers and GL.
