Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day G/L and AP/Expense processes for the US Government & Infrastructure practice. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with period-end closes while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.

Role requires 4–6 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and ensure GAAP, FAR, CAS compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations; support period-end closes.
• Support accounts payable and expense processing and reviews; ensure policy and internal control adherence.
• Assist audits by providing schedules and documentation; respond to requests.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting; test system enhancements.
