Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP, and expense functions. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with period-end close in a government contracting environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring GAAP compliance, reviewing entry requests, and supporting internal/external audits. Strong Excel and Costpoint experience are required, and the role offers competitive pay and benefits in a nationwide EY US office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint experience.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficient in Excel advanced functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Review journal entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Close subperiods, month-end, quarter-end and year-end.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation.
• Monitor GL inbox and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with enablement teams on Costpoint enhancements.
• Develop reconciliation templates and desktop procedures.
• Adhere to GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.
