Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Geostructural Design Engineer to lead retaining walls, ground improvement, excavation support and slope stabilization projects.

This role emphasizes strong technical acumen, collaboration across disciplines, and opportunities for project ownership. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years in geotechnical/structural/geostructural engineering, a PE license, and the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 8–12 years in geotechnical, structural, or geostructural engineering with increasing responsibility
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety (or ability to obtain); preferred training in construction inspection, slope stability, or deep foundation testing

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff on technical execution, design software, and field practices; provide constructive feedback to strengthen technical skills
• Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding staff and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, DOT requirements, and design standards
• Lead or contribute to QA/QC reviews of design calculations, drawings, and reports; develop and enforce design standards
