Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Geostructural Design Engineer to lead design services for retaining walls, ground improvement, excavation support, slope stabilization, and deep foundations. You will own projects, interact with clients, and guide a multidisciplinary team across disciplines.

The role requires a PE license, 8–12 years in geostructural work, and strong communication. On-site collaboration across BLE offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree with a geotechnical/structural emphasis preferred.
• P.E. license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 8–12 years in geotechnical, structural, or geostructural engineering with increasing responsibility.
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety (or ability to obtain); preferred training in construction inspection, slope stability, or deep foundation testing.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff on technical execution, design software, and field practices.
• Support onboarding, training, and integration of new team members.
• Help build a geographically distributed, high-performing team through clear communication and shared technical standards.
• Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding staff and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to QA/QC reviews of design calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring issues are addressed before issuance.
• Develop and enforce design standards and checklists for Geostructural work.
• Coordinate project tasks, milestones, and deliverables with stakeholders.
