Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geostructural Design Engineer to lead delivery of designs for retaining walls, ground improvements, excavation support, slope stabilization, and deep foundations.

The role offers direct client interaction and project ownership within a multidisciplinary firm. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8–12 years in geotechnical/geostructural fields, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license within 6 months preferred.
• PE license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 8–12 years in geotechnical, structural, or geostructural engineering with increasing responsibility.
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety (or ability to obtain); preferred training in construction inspection, slope stability, or deep foundation testing.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff on technical execution, design software, and field practices, providing constructive feedback to strengthen technical skills and engineering judgment
• Support onboarding, training, and integration of new team members
• Help build a geographically distributed, high-performing team through clear communication and shared technical standards
• Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding staff and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead or contribute to QA/QC reviews of design calculations, drawings, and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
