Rula is a remote-first healthcare tech company hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and scale robust full-stack systems in a cross-functional team. The role focuses on enterprise employer portals and EAP workflows to expand access to care, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and security.

You will drive architectural decisions, mentor peers, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building and scaling web applications.
• Experience leading high-priority technical projects from conception to delivery.
• Commitment to fostering a high-performing engineering culture through code reviews and mentoring.
• Deep expertise in modern full-stack technologies—TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery velocity and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the Employer Portal and EAP workflows from employer-facing tools to patient/provider flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand addressable population and access to care.
• Design complex distributed systems that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
