Job summary

Rula is a remote-first mental health care company hiring in most U.S. states (excluding Hawaii).

We seek a Staff Software Engineer to lead the new Provider Onboarding Engineering team, architect key workflows, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable tooling for pricing, payments, client panels, and forms. You will drive product architecture across internal and external users, coordinating with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable systems in a high-impact environment that

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in software engineering
Experience on Healthcare or equivalent systems
Experience helping to form a new team from scratch
Experience bridging technical and non-technical groups
Fullstack experience with modern database-backed web apps (SQL/NoSQL)
Experience with microservice development
Experience mentoring others and establishing design patterns
Experience leading all phases of the development lifecycle (planning, specs, execution, post-launch)
Experience delivering on highly complex projects with sustainable results

Responsibilities

Architect and lead the Provider Onboarding Engineering scope
Build scalable tools and workflows for pricing, payments, client panels and forms
Lead product architecture and cross-functional collaboration
Mentor senior engineers and establish design patterns
Drive end-to-end lifecycle from planning to post-launch maintenance
