Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the Acquisition & Onboarding team. The role focuses on setting technical direction, architecture, and elevating the velocity of full stack development across mobile, web, and backend systems.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering to build polished, performant experiences that impact conversion and growth, mentoring engineers and driving high-quality code in a remote-first company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience leading significant mobile initiatives (React Native or native) and cross-functional launches.
• Backend systems design and scaling with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure monitoring, incident response, and on-call readiness for the team.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Develop and monitor metrics for team artifacts and promote high quality code.
• Mentor and develop talent within the team and drive code quality.
