Job summary

CesiumAstro in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Staff FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA design for space-grade hardware, including HDL development, verification, and deployment across high-speed interfaces and multiple clock domains.

You will mentor junior engineers, present design reviews to customers and executives, and contribute to proposals. Requires BS/MS in EE/CE, 12 years FPGA experience, and deep knowledge of Xilinx/Microsemi tool flows; strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA design and verification efforts for space-based programs with HDL-level development and validation.
• Define FPGA architecture with cross-functional teams including system engineering, hardware, and software.
• Mentor junior designers and participate in design reviews and proposal activities.
