Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases for space hardware. You will design, verify, test, and deploy HDL-based solutions, including high-speed interfaces and digital processing cores, while ensuring robust validation and documentation.

The role requires strong communication skills and experience presenting designs to customers and executives, plus contribution to proposals in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of industry or university research experience in FPGA systems at the HDL level.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx Vivado, ModelSim).
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases.
• Develop HDL designs for high-speed interfaces, data streams, and processing cores.
• Present design review materials to customers and leadership, and contribute to proposals.
