Job summary

CesiumAstro in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to design, verify, and deploy HDL-based FPGA systems for satellite and aerospace hardware. You will work across HDL level designs, high-speed interfaces, clock domains, and data processing cores, collaborating with customers and the executive team.

Requirements include a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and at least 6 years of FPGA design experience with Verilog/VHDL, Vivado, ModelSim, plus hands-on lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 6 years of FPGA design, HDL analysis and implementation.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification using Verilog/VHDL.
• Hands-on with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF test gear).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases.
• Present design reviews to customers and executives.
• Contribute to proposal writing efforts.
