Job summary

PagerDuty seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (SRE Agent) to work inside our largest customer accounts, connecting the SRE Agent to production environments and guiding teams from AI-assisted incident response to autonomous actions with safety guardrails.

The ideal candidate ships LLM/agent systems to production, with strong customer-facing skills and a background in building reusable tools and connectors for agent extensibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience with LLM and agent systems in production.
• Customer-facing communication and leadership in technical sessions.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and delivering working software.
• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi at scale, GitOps (ArgoCD), CI/CD pipelines, and progressive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Embed and drive SRE Agent adoption with 2-4 strategic customer teams onsite.
• Build and contribute core agent capabilities and reusable tools.
• Run pilots, gather eval data, and remove blockers for customer adoption.
• Integrate SRE Agent with production stacks: IaC, GitOps, CI/CD, observability.
• Define 3–6 month technical roadmaps and relay customer feedback to the core team.
