Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team in Burlington, MA. You will lead high‑complexity projects, conduct code analyses, and mentor staff while developing standards and client relations.

You will work with P.E. candidates and QFPE experience; familiarity with NFPA codes, CFD tools, and CAD/3D modeling is valued. This role supports multi-office collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Masters in Fire Protection preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) with fire protection discipline; QFPE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects and oversee project scope and design approach.
• Conduct building, fire, and life safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Lead design development through sketches, models, and diagrams.
• Manage project coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support business development and proposal preparation.
