Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in the United States to lead high‑complexity projects and mentor staff. You will review building and life-safety code requirements, prepare technical reports, and guide design development from sketches to diagrams.

You will coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, owners, contractors, and vendors to ensure on‑time, client‑driven delivery.

Qualifications

• bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; master preferred.
• minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in fire protection or NICET Level IV certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high‑complexity projects and manage project scope and budget.
• Conduct fire/life safety code reviews and analyses for buildings.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Lead design development with sketches, models, diagrams.
• Coordinate meetings with staff, consultants, owners, contractors, and vendors.
• Support business development and proposal activities.
