Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will lead large, complex projects, conduct code analyses, and prepare technical reports for clients. The role includes guiding design development, coordinating with teams and clients, and mentoring staff to ensure on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience, P.E. or NICET IV, and strong knowledge of NFPA standards, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline, Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in fire protection.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or NICET Level IV certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex projects and oversee project delivery.
- Conduct building, fire, and life safety code reviews and analyses.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
- Lead design development from sketches to models and diagrams.
- Coordinate meetings with internal teams, consultants, and clients.
- Supervise staff and mentor junior engineers; perform QA/QC on projects.
