Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a field service technician to diagnose, repair, and install Fire & Life Safety systems and related building controls at customer sites. You will read blueprints, follow troubleshooting procedures, and provide outstanding customer service while on call and on duty.

A valid driver’s license and physical ability are required. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in low voltage systems, NICET II certification preferred, and experience with CCTV, IP networks, and up-to-date

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• NICET II certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment and commissioning devices.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and assess problems at customer sites.
• Diagnose issues and repair electronic fire alarm and related systems.
• Troubleshoot using manuals, change notices, and bulletins.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and submittals.
• Provide excellent customer service and document work.
