Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a skilled service technician to diagnose and repair fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. You will interpret blueprints, coordinate with onsite staff, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective problem solving.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of experience with fire alarm and access control, NICET II or Ohio license, and strong computer proficiency. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Good working knowledge of computers and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and brief customer descriptions.
• Contact customer representative to identify problems.
• Diagnose and repair fire alarm and related building systems on-site.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and manuals for repairs.
• Service, troubleshoot and install systems from multiple manufacturers (e.g., SimplexGrinnell).
• Read blueprints and specifications and document actions taken.
