Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building products at customer sites. You will handle service calls, read blueprints, and work across multiple manufacturers to restore systems quickly and safely.

Role requires 4+ years in low voltage or fire/life safety, NICET II, strong problem solving, and customer service. On-call duties and physical work are part of the job, with opportunities to mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire/Life Safety.
• NICET Level II certification required; Level III preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and manuals; able to follow technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and diagnose issues on fire alarm systems.
• Perform repairs and installations at customer sites across multiple manufacturers.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and vendor manuals to troubleshoot.
• Provide excellent customer service and complete service acknowledgements.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor others as needed.
