Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair Fire/Life Safety systems at customer sites, including commissioning and panel work. You will read blueprints, install and service equipment, and maintain strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems incl. Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• Oklahoma Commercial Fire Alarm license (or willing to obtain).
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals; knowledge of test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer, commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on Fire/Life Safety systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, diagrams and manuals.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with customers and district staff.
• Organize and complete documentation, including service acknowledgements and quotes.
• On-call and after-hours work as required.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility operation and upsell where appropriate.
