Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Senior Presales Solution Architect to join our US team. This remote, full-time role requires deep fintech architecture experience, hands-on API and integration capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across engineering and business units.

You will design scalable solutions for mobile money, digital wallets, and payments, lead technical demonstrations, and craft compelling proposals while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution architecture, software engineering, or other deeply technical roles within fintech or financial services technology organizations in the US.
• A proven track record of technically leading complex, architecture-driven engagements in fintech or payments — ownership of design decisions end to end.
• Strong hands-on understanding of fintech platforms, including mobile money, digital payments, wallet infrastructure, API design and management, microservices, and cloud-based financial services architectures.
• Fluency in the technical fundamentals that matter in payments — transaction processing, security and encryption, data integration, system scalability, and resilience.
• The rare ability to move between layers — deep technical whiteboard work and executive-level business value framing.
• Excellent solution design, technical writing, presentation, and RFP response skills.
• A collaborative, customer-first mindset and credibility with technical and business stakeholders.
• The ability to operate independently in a US-based role while staying connected to a global engineering and product organization.
• An established network of potential customers and partners in the US fintech market is a strong advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical presales process — from discovery and requirements analysis through solution design and executive demonstrations.
• Act as the lead technical authority in customer engagements, positioning Ericsson Mobile Financial Services capabilities as the right architectural fit.
• Architect tailored, scalable solutions spanning mobile money, digital wallets, payment processing, API ecosystems, and use cases.
• Design integration and systems architectures addressing security, compliance, scalability, and interoperability in US financial services.
• Build compelling solution narratives that connect technical capability to measurable business value for engineers and executives.
• Produce high-quality technical proposals, solution blueprints, and RFP/RFI responses that differentiate us on merit and value.
• Drive clean handovers to delivery, collaborating with sales, product, and implementation teams.
• Stay ahead of US fintech trends, emerging payment tech, regulatory shifts, and the competitive landscape.
• Build reusable technical assets — reference architectures, demo environments, integration patterns, and best-practice docs.
• Mentor and uplift colleagues, growing solution architecture depth across presales and partner engagements.
