Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization, with a schedule aligned to APAC business hours and overlapping PST/CST. The role focuses on cost forecasting, anomaly analysis, and governance of AI/LLM spend.

You will partner with R&D teams, surface actionable opportunities, and contribute to showback reporting while maintaining clear documentation in Jira and on the wiki. Strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization.
• Investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Partner-facing advisory with R&D/engineering teams.
• Cloud cost forecasting with team alignment.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers.
• Proficient in Jira and Slack for investigations and communications.
• Availability to cover APAC business hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for R&D cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Review monthly cloud spend with APAC-based colleagues; surface cost opportunities and document notes.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; perform root-cause analyses and provide optimization recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting; align central forecasts with team projections; document notes.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost-driver understanding.
• Support Cloud Economics wiki maintenance and cost-awareness initiatives.
• Model team cost projections and respond to support requests via Slack and email.
