Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization. This role requires working across APAC hours, with overlap with PST and CST.

You will serve as the primary FinOps contact, monitor spend, run cost analyses, and partner with R&D to forecast and optimize cloud and AI/LLM spend. The position offers flexible scheduling and a mix of remote and office options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and provide root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams as a partner-facing resource.
• Cloud cost forecasting with alignment to team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring LLM spend.
• Cost modeling and team investment/project tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira for documenting investigations and Slack for real-time support.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation/wiki spaces and recurring reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.
• Availability to cover APAC business hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive engagements with APAC teams to review monthly cloud spend and forecast plans.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies and produce root-cause analyses with recommendations.
• Participate in the monthly forecasting cycle and align central forecasts with team plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting with cost drivers and spend insights.
• Audit and update wiki sections related to FinOps and cost awareness.
• Model team cost projections and respond to inquiries via Slack and email.
