Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead field crews in testing, maintenance, and commissioning of substation equipment across North America. You will interface with customers and engineering teams to ensure safe, high-quality execution.

The role requires 10+ years in the electrical industry, NETA credentials, and strong leadership in field settings. EPS offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or related field; Military experience considered.
10+ years in the electrical industry with hands-on field experience.
NETA III certification (NETA IV a plus) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus including breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, batteries, and switchgear.
Perform complex troubleshooting of electrical and control systems; determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
Develop testing plans and work scopes; prepare detailed reports documenting testing, maintenance, and system performance.
Coordinate field activities with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.
