Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead crews on substation testing and maintenance across North America. You will manage complex projects, coordinate with engineers, and drive safety through daily site leadership.

The role requires extensive experience with high/medium/low voltage equipment, NETA certifications, and the ability to travel as needed. EPS values safety, quality, and professional development, offering strong benefits and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or equivalent military experience.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• NETA certifications (III/IV) are a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance and commissioning of high/medium/low voltage equipment.
• Ensure safety first by enforcing PPE use and safety policies; lead safety briefings.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers and project managers to meet schedules.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting testing, maintenance and performance.
• Mentor Field Technician levels I-III and provide technical guidance.
• Interface with customers, manage expectations, and deliver high-quality work.
