Job summary

Electric Power Systems seeks a Sr. Field Technician to lead field crews, manage complex testing and maintenance projects, and serve as the primary interface with customers and engineering teams.

You will oversee high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment, coordinate safety programs, and ensure high-quality execution across substations while mentoring junior technicians. Travel and overtime are required on project demands.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety-sensitive position.
• Background check completed satisfactorily.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Install, test and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, grounding and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot electrical/control systems and determine root causes.
• Analyze test results and validate system performance against specifications.
• Review schematics and engineering docs to optimize equipment functionality.
• Direct repair and maintenance activities for reliable restoration.
• Develop testing plans and prepare detailed reports of testing and performance.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure schedule and safety.
