Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Senior Field Technician to lead crews, manage complex testing and maintenance projects, and serve as the primary interface with customers and engineering teams.

You will oversee safety, planning, and execution of substation work across a broad range of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Requires satisfactory criminal background check.
• Willing to work OT and travel out of town.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical equipment across LV/MV/HV.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus including breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Perform and lead complex troubleshooting of electrical/control systems and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze test results using electrical theory to validate performance and identify deficiencies.
• Consult schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to optimize equipment functionality.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation.
