Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead crews, manage complex substation testing and maintenance projects, and serve as the primary customer interface with engineering teams across North America.

The role combines advanced technical leadership with project coordination to ensure safe, high-quality field execution on high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment. Strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews and manage complex testing and maintenance projects on high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Interface with customers and engineering teams for safe, high-quality field execution.
• Develop testing plans, procedures, and work scopes for electrical apparatus and commissioning.
• Prepare reports documenting testing, maintenance, repairs, and system performance.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers and project managers to meet schedule and safety requirements.
• Mentor Field Technician I–III personnel and provide technical leadership.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce company safety policies on site.
• Support project planning, resource coordination, and work sequencing for efficiency.
