EPS in Nashville is seeking a Senior Field Technician to lead crews, manage complex testing and maintenance projects, and act as the primary interface with customers and engineering teams on substations across a wide range of electrical equipment.

The role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership and project coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of field work, while mentoring junior technicians and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (safety sensitive position)
• Criminal background check required
• Able to work overtime and travel
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Responsabilités

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety procedures; promote a strong safety culture.
• Manage testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of high/medium/low voltage equipment.
• Install, test, and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, batteries, and switchgear.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Review schematics, diagrams, and manuals to optimize equipment functionality.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance activities to restore equipment.
• Develop testing plans and work scopes for electrical systems and commissioning.
• Prepare and review detailed reports and documentation of testing and performance.
• Create project documents and close-out packages for large-scale projects.
• Lead field activities to meet schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Support planning, resource coordination, and workflow optimization.
• Mentor Field Technician I-III; provide technical leadership in the field.
• Coordinate daily activities with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Serve as primary field contact for customers and manage expectations.
• Maintain relationships with clients and internal teams; represent EPS in the field.
