Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead technical field crews, manage complex substation testing and maintenance projects, and serve as the primary interface with customers and engineering teams.

The role combines advanced technical expertise, leadership, and project coordination for safe, efficient execution across diverse electrical equipment. The position emphasizes hands-on execution, supervision of field activities, and collaboration with project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE usage to ensure safe operations.
• Direct crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of high/medium/low voltage equipment.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot electrical/control systems; determine root causes and implement fixes.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for testing, maintenance, and system performance.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers, project managers, and customers to meet schedule and quality goals.
