Job summary

Socket Telecom LLC. in Missouri is seeking a Field Technician- Tier II to deliver expert onsite installation services for residential customers as part of Socket's fiber network.

You will travel across our Missouri markets, install and configure customer equipment, diagnose connectivity issues, and ensure a high‑quality customer experience while adhering to safety standards. This role requires physical work, driving, and flexibility including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in telecommunications, installation, construction, and utility work.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Able to participate in an on‑call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Able to operate a bucket truck up to 300 lbs.
• Flexible schedule, including Saturdays/Sundays.
• Willingness to obtain a class E license if offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential and business internet and phone services.
• Install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems, and Wi‑Fi gateways.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by being professional, friendly, and knowledgeable during all service visits.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling, adhering to all relevant codes and standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including ladders and bucket trucks, in accordance with all safety protocols and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket with professionalism in the field.
