Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician III to conduct advanced field testing, troubleshoot, and inspect across construction, environmental, and infrastructure projects in the Phoenix area. This senior field role requires independence, strong technical skills, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in materials testing or geotechnical fieldwork, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or related coursework preferred.
• 5+ years field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, or geotechnical fieldwork.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and environmental conditions.
• Lead field activities, coordinate tasks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide recommendations to teams.
• Mentor and coach junior field technicians and support project data reporting.
• Maintain testing equipment, calibrate, and ensure accuracy and safety.
