Job summary

UES is a national leader in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and materials testing. The Field Technician III is a senior field professional responsible for advanced testing, troubleshooting, and inspection services on construction, environmental, and infrastructure projects.

You will mentor junior technicians, lead field activities, and ensure accuracy while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires extensive travel and independent problem solving in a dynamic field

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
5+ years of field-based experience in materials testing or geotechnical fieldwork.
ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or obtainable within specified time.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.
Proficiency in MS Office and Field Data Collection software.

Responsibilities

Perform field testing on soils, concrete, asphalt, and environmental conditions with regulatory compliance.
Lead field activities on projects, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide recommendations to project teams.
Mentor junior technicians and support data reporting and regulatory documentation.
Travel to project sites, including overnight stays as needed.
