UES is seeking a Field Technician II to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing and inspection projects. You will perform advanced field and laboratory testing, conduct on-site inspections, and help ensure construction and environmental projects meet standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma; vocational training in construction, engineering or geosciences preferred.
• 3+ years field testing or inspection experience in geotechnical, construction or environmental work.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing preferred or ability to obtain within time.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials per project specs.
• Ensure testing requirements meet project specifications and company procedures.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to labs, maintaining sample integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment per manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results for project managers.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, contractors, and managers with real-time updates.
• Mentor junior field technicians when needed and support safety practices.
• Follow OSHA and client safety protocols including PPE usage.
• Adapt to changing schedules, including early mornings, weekends, or overnight travel.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and coordinate routine maintenance.
• Travel up to 70% within designated region.
• Assist with additional duties to support projects.
