Job summary

UES seeks a Field Technician II to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects. You will perform advanced field and laboratory testing, conduct on-site inspections, and ensure projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field-based experience in materials testing or geotechnical work.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing preferred or obtainable within time period.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other materials to meet project specs.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories, maintaining sample integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper function per guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of test results for project managers.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, field supervisors, and clients with status updates.
• Mentor junior field technicians and share best practices for safety and efficiency.
