Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a senior Field Technician III to conduct advanced field testing and inspections across construction, environmental, and infrastructure projects.

You will mentor junior technicians, analyze test data, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The role requires travel to job sites, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing preferred or obtainable within a set time.
• 5+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, or geotechnical fieldwork.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• OSHA awareness and safety compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office and field data collection software.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and environmental conditions, ensuring compliance with project specs and regulatory requirements.
• Lead field activities on assigned projects; coordinate testing and reporting.
• Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations to project teams.
• Mentor and coach junior field technicians; support training and safety of the crew.
• Maintain equipment, perform calibrations, and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
• Travel to project sites as required and adhere to safety protocols.
