Job summary

Cable One, Inc. is seeking an Advance Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot high‑quality telecom services across HFC and fiber networks. You will read maps, verify documentation, splice cables, activate devices, and perform field tests to ensure optimal performance for customers. Training and ongoing growth are emphasized.

The role requires a certificate or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to four years related experience.
• Must complete Sparklight Advanced Technician course within 6 months of accepting position.
• Knowledge of FCC, NEC, NESC, OSHA, DOT rules and local ordinances.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; ability to work variable schedule and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Install new customer equipment and repair network issues in headend, HFC, and fiber networks.
• Read system and network design maps; verify as-built documentation and report findings.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber cables; activate devices; test for performance.
• Perform underground facility locates and assist in estimating plant costs for extensions.
• Train system technical personnel as directed by local system management.
