Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role will require adapting to remote work, travel to remote locations, and plant visits to provide advanced field support as needed.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and tackle challenging diagnostics in a fast-paced environment at a Rivian service center.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of automotive repair experience, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years on High Voltage (HV) systems and HV diagnostics.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Background in continuous improvement, process standardization, and escalation management.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and partners.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Run road tests to verify repair quality and drive process improvements.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to leadership.
• Interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
