Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Superintendent to independently supervise an area of trade contractors with work valued up to $30M. This on-site role is integral to the project team and requires daily on-site presence to drive safety, schedule adherence, and quality.

You will coordinate with multiple trades, lead meetings, manage the work plan, and ensure compliance with contract documents while mentoring junior field staff. This role offers growth opportunities within Gilbane's projects portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4–8 years of experience on $15–$30M projects as a superintendent.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subs to ensure high-quality work and schedule adherence.
• Develops and communicates the field work plan regarding changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily reports and documentation.
• Establishes credibility with owners, trade contractors, and teammates.
• Ensures safety by enforcing the project safety plan and acting as safety lead.
