Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5-$50M project. The role requires daily on-site presence and leadership of the project team to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

You will coordinate with trade contractors, monitor safety, and drive continuous improvements in scheduling and logistics. Gilbane offers training through Gilbane University and a strong, inclusive culture with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project on commercial/industrial construction valued at $30M or larger, in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of Gilbane’s trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the approved project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Obtains permits for construction purposes.
• Maintains credibility with owners, unions, and partners in a fair environment.
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforces safety compliance.
