Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a General Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a project up to $100M. The role is on the project site daily and plays a key part in the project team.

You will lead trade contractors, coordinate schedules, enforce safety, manage the budget for general conditions, and develop field plans that keep work on track. A seasoned leader with strong communication and problem‑solving skills will thrive as you mentor field engineers and drive a culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10–15 years on $30–$100M construction projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day coordination of trades to meet the approved schedule.
• Manage the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develop, document, and communicate field work plans for changes.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Lead safety program and enforce safety compliance across all trades.
• Lead contractor meetings and maintain daily reports.
• Plan site logistics and manage contingencies.
