Job summary

IPG is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to deliver on-site maintenance, repair, and training for packaging equipment across national accounts. You will work closely with sales, perform installations, and lead preventive maintenance while traveling as needed to ensure customer operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent plus Associate degree in technology or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of related experience in field service or technical maintenance.
• Broad knowledge of electronics and electromechanical principals.
• Experience with packaging automation systems is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site maintenance and repairs for IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Train customers on start-up, operation and maintenance of packaging equipment.
• Perform installations, maintenance, and service tasks; demonstrate products as needed.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and build customer relationships.
• Coordinate with sales to identify opportunities and deliver technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation of service activity and equipment status.
