Job summary

Rivian in Texas is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex diagnostics and field operations across service centers and remote sites. You will act as a technical expert, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous improvement in repair workflows.

Based at a service center, this role may involve travel to remote locations or production plants to provide advanced field support, employing HV and CAN/LIN diagnostics, and documenting findings for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years; valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience in bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and HV systems.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and plants.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac and service systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs in centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level remote diagnostics and guidance to field teams.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians; lead problem-solving.
• Use diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Conduct road tests and standardize repair processes.
• Oversee parts operations including inventory and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to leadership.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
