Rivian seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in complex vehicle repairs and field operations. Based at a service center, this role may involve travel to remote locations, production plants, or mobile service routes to provide advanced support.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior technicians, driving continuous improvement, and solving challenging diagnostics with high-volt and network systems expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; automotive repair schooling preferred.
• 21+ years old with valid driver’s license and clean record.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience; HV systems experience required.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and production plants as needed.

Responsabilités

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem solving.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve HV, electrical, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive continuous improvement in workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis and feedback to leadership.
