Job summary

Rivian seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead advanced diagnostics and field support for complex vehicle repairs. Based primarily at a service center, you may travel to remote locations or production plants to provide expert assistance and mentor junior technicians.

You will tackle challenging diagnostic issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high repair quality through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years HV systems and HV diagnostics experience.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and production plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs at service centers and in field settings (customer sites, mobile routes, or remote locations).
• Provide remote diagnostics or repairs and guidance to field service teams based on data and schematics.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing to ensure efficiency.
• Produce high-quality documentation and provide root-cause analysis to engineering and leadership.
