Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service professional to execute on-site service work for critical power equipment in the US. You will perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety standards are met while communicating timelines to customers.

You'll coach and supervise technicians, prepare material lists, identify improvement opportunities, and help grow ABB’s service offerings through strong customer relationships and safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 4+ years of service experience preferred.
• Associates degree with 6+ years of service experience acceptable; alternative: HS diploma with extensive experience (8+ years).
• Advanced communication and coordination skills across organizational levels; strong MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Install, commission, maintain, upgrade, retrofit, and repair equipment per requirements.
• Coach technicians and supervise complex site activities; provide training when needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment meeting quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for product and process enhancements; communicate recommendations to management.
