K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support clients in Woodbury, Minnesota. This role builds on Level I skills, leading installation teams, configuring devices, and performing system commissioning.

You will mentor junior installers, coordinate with project staff, and ensure high standards across nurse call, access control, and video surveillance projects. A background in construction trades, strong IT networking, and a valid US driver’s license are required; the company

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a construction trade.
• Advanced electricity knowledge (high/low voltage).
• Hands-on field experience.
• Basic telecom knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP).
• Identify and use low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of IT networking and IP addressing.
• Read architectural drawings.
• Team leadership or supervisor experience.
• Experience completing projects within scope.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer responsibilities per documentation.
• Manage project and service tickets with timely updates.
• Understand project scopes and take accountability for tasks.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers and customers.
